TVB’s new series, La Femme Desperado’s cast arrived at “Sun Sing” radio station for a promotion. The producer announced the ratings for the series: last week it had an average rating of thirty-three points, this week the ratings were around thirty-five to thirty-six points, peaking at thirty-seven points. Upon hearing this, the actors reacted very happily.

In the series, Michael’s character left a very deep impression upon the audience. He laughed that lately it has become dangerous to go out. Not only does he no longer get discounts when he is shopping, every time he passes the park he’ll be told off by three different female voices. Melissa expressed that she had just returned from filming in Mainland and she didn’t even know the ratings were that good! She said, “Actually I’ve been working in Mainland for four months already, and I only knew that the ratings were this good when the Producer phoned me and told me about it. In La Femme Desperado, Raymond’s character Chai Fun is in his twenties, and besides working in an advertisement company, he also has a part-time job as a gym trainer. He’s good-looking and handsome, and probably in most girl’s hearts, a Prince Charming. But for some reason, he chooses Melissa Ng, who is seven years older than him. This series has attracted many OLs and mothers, and has even become their topic of discussion after tea. In actual fact, Chai Fun’s personality is very similar to Raymond’s, he is a lively person, not knowing when to stop when he’s doing things, candid, does things straight away, takes responsibility and gets along with other people very easily.

Puppy love brings good memories

Born with a handsome face, Raymond must be surrounded by a lot of girls, but the truth is actually the opposite. Twenty-seven year old Raymond has only dated once, and the reason for that is that even though he is handsome, he is actually a very shy guy. When he sees a girl he likes, he would want to step closer to her, but before he has even taken a first step, he would falter. He said, “I’ve only got the looks. Don’t be fooled and think that I have a lot of girlfriends. Actually, I don’t even know why myself, but whenever I see a girl that I like, my heart will feel all funny and I’ll go all red in the face. I’d be too scared to go up to her and talk to her, but I don’t even know what I’m scared for!”

With Raymond’s first love, it was during study time. He and a group of friends were studying together, and he gradually became lovers with a girl. But they were only together for a short time before the relationship just died. But to Raymond, this puppy love was definitely a good memory.

As to why his experience with dating is so little, Raymond laughed and expressed that maybe he is rather slow in this area, plus his criteria is rather high. He said, “Choosing a girlfriend isn’t the same as choosing vegetable. I don’t want to be dating too many times, every time I wish that it would be the last time, and so I never get a new relationship. Raymond is always being photographed with other females, saying that he has a lot of rumoured girlfriends. After hearing that, Raymond very innocently expressed, “Outsiders always get the wrong feeling that I’m a playful person, when in fact I’m very loyal when it comes to love. Maybe because earlier there were many reports of me having many different female partners with me. At first I was worried about the audience believing me to be a playboy, with a very fancy love life, but now I know that the audience knows what is real or not, and plus now I really don’t have time for relationships.
